A person with unconventional social habits
Hey, I'm Mahliya
At 17 I got pregnant with my first daughter and by 21 I had another. Yup, that's two kids out of wedlock. And did I mention they have different dads? My life is certainly not conventional, and to many its frowned upon. Many thought I had ruined my life with my first daughter, that all chances of success were gone. I'm not going to act like I don't understand why. Mom life ain't easy. In fact, its undoubtedly the hardest job a person could ever have. Add the trials and tribulations of coming of age and its gonna be stressful. But it's not a death sentence. Instead, having a child at a young age motivated me even more to be independent and work harder. And I'm not doing half bad. I've got two sweet girls, a man that loves me, and I'm in law school. Admittedly, I have not been on this journey alone. I have been blessed with an amazing support system in my friends and family. Through this blog, I want to motivate other young women like myself to show you that if I can do it, you can too. It's okay if you don't take the conventional route. Life happens. Don't beat yourself up or compare yourself to others. We each have our own journey. What's important is that you know that you can still be successful. Yes, it will be hard. But nothing worth having is going to come easy. Here, I will be sharing advice and tips that I have learned along the way that I hope will help you on your journey. I also will be sharing some of my "crunchy mama" ways. You know, essential oils, breastfeeding, veganism and the like. I hope you enjoy and that we can get to know each other along the way.
Thanks for stopping by!
